First off the song title is just asking for it. Call Me Maybe is an indecisive title, the girl cant make up her mind on whether or not she wants this guy to call her.... but she still gives him her number.
Overall I think the song is just one of those fifteen minutes of fame songs.
Why was it at number 1 on iTunes anyway? I think that songs that have more meaning than this song should be #1 on the iTunes charts. From personal experience I think that after hearing it so many times on the radio it gets annoying really fast. Every time I hear it on the radio or on Pandora I immediately change the station because I can't bear to hear it again and waste three minutes of my time.

It is so annoying that it has so many people making fun of the lyrics:

RATE: I would say that Call Me Maybe is an OUT for me.
I absolutely love that picture and also the fact that you dislike this song too. I totally couldn't understand why it was so popular, it always annoyed the crap out of me. I never bought it on iTunes and I always changed the station when it came on too. I don't like any of her other songs either.
