Call Me Maybe? Maybe. :)

Lets get this straight. There are people who think that Call Me Maybe is an annoying "old" song.  Every song is not bound to get 100% like. Honestly, I still have Call Me Maybe in my playlist and often at times I like to listen to it on repeat. In my opinion, Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen is a very catchy, steady upbeat song. Because it is very catchy and repetitive with the "Call Me Maybe", it kind of makes me want to dance to the song and blurt out "CALL ME MAYBE....MISS YOU SO SO BAD" (true story).

This song has a carefree "whatever" kind of mood. I think children and teens will be able to relate and connect to this carefree kind of song. Call Me Maybe may be an "old" song but, honestly, I don't care. I don't care if a song is old or not. What matters is what the listener is getting from the song. Who cares if the lyrics have any deep meaning. What's important is that this song gives off an energetic vibe, not to only me but, I'm pretty sure, to other people as well.

RATE: I would say that Call Me Maybe is DEFINITELY an IN for me. What's your opinion?

  1. I have that song on my iPod. I first thought the song was super annoying when it came out. After a bit of hearing it so often, I started to like it. I really like upbeat tunes and Call Me Maybe has a very upbeat tune to it. Of course I watched the music video and couldn't stop laughing at the end of it. I don't really care if other people think that a song it "old" or "in." To me, if I like it, it is "in" and I will listen to it all the time.
